Coverage and Benefits

Financial Policies

Restoring your health is our primary objective. Our treatment will always be rendered solely on the basis of need and our fees comply with the "usual and customary" rates for this region. We will do everything we can to keep your costs to a minimum without risking the quality of your healthcare.

For out-of-pocket expenses, we offer many payment options. We accept cash, check or credit card (Visa and MasterCard) as well as offer interest-free financing for those who qualify. Please advise us, at the time of your service, if you would have difficulty fulfilling your financial responsibility so that we may discuss alternative payment options with you.

In general, we accept most Major Medical Insurance companies, Cash Patients, Medicare Patients, Illinois Workers Compensation, Personal Injury and Auto Accident Claims.

Major Medical Insurance

Most health plans reimburse for 'Physical Medicine'. Please note that your insurance plan is a private arrangement between you and your insurance company. We will be happy file your claim on your behalf, handle all of the necessary paperwork, and help you get maximum insurance benefits.

Due to variations in insurance benefits and policies, we recommend that you contact your insurance company or Benefits Coordinator to verify your policy benefits. Our staff will confirm your benefits, but this does not guarantee payment by the insurance company. If you have questions or are unclear about your benefits, please contact our Office so that we may assist you during this process. We will always do what we can to help find the answers to your questions.

The following is a partial list of insurance companies that we currently accept. If you do not see your insurance company on our list, please call our Office to see if we have added it to our list.

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Great West
  • United Health Care
  • Humana
  • Aetna
  • PHCS

If you find that our Office is not in-network with your insurance company, please do not assume you do not have benefits at our Office; many patients are pleasantly surprised by the benefit this brings them. Since the Physicians do not have a contract with the insurance company, they are not restricted by stringent guidelines which can limit your overall benefits and increase your out-of-pocket expense. Please contact our Office so that we may further discuss your benefit plan with you.

Again, for any out-of-pocket expenses above and beyond what your insurance company reimburses, we also accept cash, checks, MasterCard and Visa. No-interest payment plans are also available for patients who require treatment, but are unable to pay their out-of-pocket expenses all at once.

Cash Patients (Those not carrying Insurance or using their Insurance)

Regardless if you have little to no insurance benefits (or even have a high-deductible plan), if you are committed to regaining your health at our Office, we will do everything possible to make it affordable for you.

Please call our office so that we can schedule you for a Complimentary Physician Consultation. At which time, the Doctors can discuss the nature of your condition and give you a more accurate estimation of the care required and the costs thereof. We look forward to working with you on a financial level to bring you back to health.

Medicare

Despite these difficult financial times and limited Medicare Benefits, we are still committed to providing you with excellent care. We also intend on working with your strict financial budget to make it possible for you to achieve all your healthcare goals. Please call our office so that we can schedule a Complimentary Physician Consultation with you. At which time, the Doctors can discuss the nature of your condition and give you a more accurate estimation of the care required and the costs thereof. We look forward to working with you on a financial level to bring you back to health.

At this time of restrictive Medicare benefits, reimbursable care from Medicare for services provided by our Physicians is limited to spinal manipulation and does not include an initial examination (although it is required prior to therapy), other therapies, services or goods that may be necessary during your care. Medicare pays for only a portion of chiropractic services and limits the number of reimbursable treatments based on the condition being treated.

Please be advised that the Medicare restrictions and regulations are put in place by Medicare and the Government, not our office or Providers. Please remember that we have many payment options, including interest-free financing for those who qualify.

Illinois Workers Compensation Claims

If you were injured at work, we would be happy to provide the care you need to return you to a healthy state, as you were prior to your accident. Your company's insurance will usually pay for the care that you require, but it needs to be pre-authorized in most cases. Once you have filed a claim with your employer, please contact our Office so that we can help you start this process.

Personal Injury and/or Automobile Related Injuries

If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident, your auto insurance will usually pay for the care that you require. However, each insurance company has guidelines and rules that must be followed in order to ensure payment. We can assist you through this process.

If you were involved in a motor vehicle accident, please call your auto insurance company and retain a Claim Number. Please bring with you to the initial visit a copy of the accident report and your insurance policy information, as well as the Claim Number. We will also need Third Party information as well if you were not at fault in the accident. Please call our Office for all information that will be necessary to process these types of claims. We are happy to assist you.
